Started in 1954, the Long Beach Island Surf Fishing Classic is one of the nation's oldest and most recognized surfcasting tournaments. (Check out our Tournament Archive) The eight week (New for 2017 Nine Week!) surf fishing tournament for striped bass and bluefish offers surfcasters the opportunity to compete for thousands of dollars in daily, weekly, segment and grand prizes. The LBI Surf Fishing Classic Committee in partnership with the Southern Ocean County Chamber of Commerce is ready for the 2017 fall fishing season! The 63nd Annual LBI Surf Fishing Classic kicks off on October 7th and runs until December 10, 2017. Don't miss out! Attend the opening day seminar.
Registration is underway at all participating tackle shops (see link Sign Up & Weigh In on right). The first 300 registrants signed up before October 6th get a FREE LBI Surf Fishing Classic Tournament T-shirt and Hat. After the tournament starts on October 7th, the t-shirt will be $20. *While Supplies Last
